The Market Holiday feature introduces the ability to see when your prefered stock markets are closed or only open for partial trading directly in the Daymi Dashboard.

This feature, built in collaboration with TradingHours.com, provides additional context for evaluating processes that fall on or around specific market holidays.

This is a premium feature, if you don't have access, please contact us in the built-in chat or send an email to [email protected] for more information.

Market Holidays in the dashboard

This feature can be used in two ways, either you set your preferred markets for the whole account, or you can specifically chose markets per team.

  1. Organization Preferences

    • Under Settings on the left side of the dashboard, there is an Organization Preferences option. Here, Admins can select which market holidays they want to display for the entire organization.

  2. Team Preferences

    • If some of your teams depend on multiple markets, you can allow each team to individually choose the market holidays they want to see on their dashboard.

    • This setup is particularly effective when the organization has UAC (User Access Control) settings activated, ensuring that users must belong to specific teams to see their processes on the dashboard.

Use Cases

Settlement team from Sweden

  • A Swedish settlement team that manages US, Norway, and Sweden markets can set their dashboard to show when a relevant market is closed. This ensures they are always aware of market closures in their prefered markets, especially when an international market is open on the same day as a Swedish bank holiday.

Staying on top of closed exchanges

  • Regularly monitoring closed exchanges is crucial as it affects controls. For example, if the US market is closed today, settlements for that market would not be performed tomorrow.

Differences from Bank Holidays

The Market Holidays feature does not replace the Bank Holidays feature. Bank Holidays allow you to completely skip daily processes on certain dates and adjust other processes accordingly. In contrast, the Market Holidays feature provides visibility into market closures without automatically altering the process schedule.

Sidebar Integration

Open the sidebar on the right, which provides the ability to check certain markets and bookmark them.

Use Cases

  • This is particularly helpful for doing a quick lookup for a specific market. Your fund may be closed for trading on markets where you have more than 20% holdings. Make a note and notify your fund distribution partners ahead of time when the fund will be closed.
