Daymi uses a combination of global role-based and team role-based access control. What you can view or do as a user depends on:
Your global role (can be found in your profile: User, Approver or Super Admin)
Your team role within individual teams you are a member of (found under Teams in your profile: Admin or None)
Team roles must be enabled for your organization for this to work
🔓 Companies without team boundaries
We are actively encouraging clients to migrate to the global role + team role access model.
In this obsolete model, access is broad and not restricted by team assignment. Roles function as follows:
Users
Have limited view access. Can access a dashboard, change process status (cannot approve/reject), manage tasks and deploy templates on any team within organization.Approvers
User rights plus the ability to approve/reject processes on any team within organization.Super Admins
Full control: create and edit processes, manage organization wide settings, invite users, and grant super admin access to others.
🔒 Companies with team boundaries
Access is tied to team membership. You can only see and interact with data related to the teams you are member of. Your global role defines what you can do within your accessible teams:
Users & Approvers
Function the same as above but only within accessible teams.Super Admins
Have full access across all the teams and organization-wide settings. However, to actively work with a team’s data (e.g., view dashboards, processes), they must assign themselves to that team via Settings -> Teams.
Team Admins (more granular control, contact Daymi Support if this option isn’t available)
A User or Approver can be promoted to Team Admin for a specific team. This gives them access to:Team’s process register, reports, and settings
Invite new users to that team
Manage team members and their team roles within that team
Team admins cannot view/manage organization-wide settings such as a bank holidays or organization market calendars - only global Super Admins can.
🔧Granting Admin Rights
During Onboarding
We grant Super Admin rights upon request, allowing the designated person to manage user roles within your organization.
Later On
If you need extended access (e.g., you're a regular user):
Ask a colleague with Super Admin rights to update your role.
To assign Approver or Super Admin role (only Super Admins can do this):

Managing Access in Team Boundary-Enabled Organizations🔒
If your organization has team boundaries enabled, access is more granular and based on team memberships. Users can only see and interact with content linked to the teams they belong to.
To delegate management responsibilities within specific teams:
Assigning Team Admins
Super Admin rights are granted the same way in both team boundary enabled/disabled organizations - through the Users menu. |
