The Time Report provides team leads, managers, and other stakeholders with a clear overview of how time is spent across processes, tasks, and issues within a selected period. It's especially useful for client accounting, billable hour tracking, invoicing preparation, and internal reviews.

Where to find it

You can access the Time Report from the Reports menu (left side) -> Time Report.

Filters

To make reporting easier, you can choose from a few options:

  1. Time spent per Category
(Often used by service providers to track time per Fund, Customer, etc.)

  2. Time spent by Team per Category
(Useful for seeing how different teams allocate time across customers or funds.)

  3. Custom selection
(Choose any combination of filters for a tailored report.)

Before export

Once you click the Filter button, a preview of the report content will appear on the right side. This allows you to review what’s included before generating the full report.

  • Overview: Total time spent across all subprocesses, tasks, and issues within the selected category

  • Breakdown: Time spent per subprocess, task, and issue, along with execution counts

  • Execution Details: Shows each subprocess deadline, task, and issue individually

  • Missing Data: Lists items with a time value of 0

What’s included in the report & how time is calculated

The Time Report includes entries from the following sources:

  • Processes
Included based on recurring process deadlines, if they fall within the selected time range. Time spent is taken from the estimated duration defined in the subprocess settings.

💡 Note: Changing a subprocess duration only affects the current period. Past values remain unchanged.

  • Tasks
Tasks are included if they were created within the selected date range. Time is based on the duration manually entered, typically when the task is created or edited.

  • Issues
Time is based on the actual time logged manually under Time spent on issue.

    • Standalone issues are included if they were created within the selected date range.

    • Subprocess issues are included if their deadline falls within the selected date range.

Report delivery

  • CSV file - Export detailed data for further analysis.

  • PDF (Print Overview) - Generate a summary-style overview suitable for sharing or printing.
