Shared Processes (Process Mirroring)

Shared Processes let two organizations mirror and synchronize process statuses in Daymi. When one organization updates a process, the change is reflected in the other. You can choose between one-way or two-way synchronization. Shared processes are always clearly labeled across dashboards and process views, and setup is managed by the Daymi team.

How it Works

Setup

  • You provide a list of processes to share, and identical processes are created in the receiving organization.

  • The Daymi team configures shared processes on the backend.

Visibility

Shared processes are clearly indicated in:

  • Dashboard

  • Main process page

  • Subprocess details

  • Process edit forms

Both the sharing and receiving organizations see these labels.

Status Synchronization

  • One-way sharing: When the sharing organization updates a status, the receiving organization sees the same update.

  • Restrictions: Receiving organizations can be prevented from making status changes, avoiding accidental updates.

  • Two-way sharing (optional):

    • Organization A marks a task as Completed.

    • Organization B reviews and marks it as Approved, sending the approval back.

What’s Included in v1

  • Backend setup by the Daymi team.

  • One-way or two-way status updates between organizations.

  • Labels for shared processes across dashboards and detail views.

  • Optional restriction on status updates in the receiving organization.

Limitations in v1

  • No self-service UI to select or change shared processes (contact Daymi for updates).

  • Only status updates are mirrored - comments, files, and issues are not shared.

  • Any changes to subprocess structures must be coordinated with the Daymi team.
