The Process Templates feature in Daymi is designed to streamline workflows with two primary use cases:
1. Standardized Workflows for Ad-Hoc Processes Use templates as blueprints to manage event-driven tasks efficiently. For instance, set up templates to handle corporate actions, product approvals, or client onboarding. When events like dividends, rights issues, or stock splits occur, you can swiftly deploy a pre-defined process - ensuring accuracy and consistency every time. 2. Reusable Workflows for Recurring Processes Create templates for routine workflows that you can replicate and adapt as needed. For example, if you have a set process for managing a client’s daily trade bookings and reconciliations, you can convert it into a template. When a similar client is signed, deploy the template and update only the details specific to the new client - saving time and avoiding repetitive setup. |
How to Create a New Process Template (Ad-Hoc Workflow)
On the Dashboard, click the ➕ icon and choose Create → Process Template.
Name your Main Process and select the relevant Team(s).
Under Occurrence, choose Once.
Add subprocesses:
In the Deadline field, set how many days before or after the T-date each subprocess should have its deadline.
The T-date (trigger date) will be chosen when you deploy the template.
(Optional) Add dependencies between subprocesses.
This allows you to design workflows where some steps are blocked until others are completed - ensuring work progresses in the correct order.

How to Deploy a Template
Once you have a template in place and an event occurs:
On the Dashboard, click the ➕ icon.
Choose Deploy Template.
Select the relevant template.
Choose the T-date.
All subprocess deadlines will automatically adjust based on the configured +/- days relative to the T-date - keeping the entire workflow aligned with your event timeline.
How to Convert Old Program Templates to the New Form
If you previously used Program Templates for ad-hoc (once-type) workflows, you can now easily convert them to the new Process Template format. This ensures your templates benefit from the improved setup, including support for dependencies and easier form management.
To convert an old Program Template:
Go to Processes → Process/Program Templates.
Locate the template you want to convert.
Click the ⋮ (three-dot) menu.
Select Convert to Process Template.
The template will be updated to the new format while preserving your existing structure and settings.
How to Turn an Existing Process into a Template
If you already have a working process that you want to reuse:
Go to Processes → Process/Program.
Locate the main process you want to copy.
Click the ⋮ (three-dot) menu.
Select Create Template (next to options like Activate/Deactivate and Change).
This copies the entire main process, including all subprocesses, into the templates section.
